REVIEW | NAIVASHA RAPTOR CENTRE We really enjoyed our visit to Naivasha Raptor Centre and left with a new appreciation for these highly misjudged birds especially vultures and owls. ✨About A space dedicated to rehabilitating injured or sick birds of prey, raising orphaned raptors, and increasing awareness about their importance. They’re only open for visits at 11am and 3pm everyday (Prior booking a must ). It was amazing to see and learn about the vultures, buzzards, eagles and owls they had in their care. I almost guarantee you will look at vultures differently after a visit here! Best part was getting up close with Phil the Owl and the vultures. Such stunning, beautiful creatures. The kids were apprehensive at first but it didn’t take long before they wanted to hold Phil over and over again and were declaring Owls to be their favourite birds. 😁 ✨ Location : Kilimandege Sanctuary, South Lake Road in Naivasha ✨ Cost : Minimum donation of Ksh 1000 per Adults, and Ksh500 per child under 13. Would not recommend for kids below 3 years. ✨ They only have 2 slots a day - 11am and 3pm. Book your visit in advance on +254724332792 We spent about an hour there so I’d say this would be a great place for a stop over experience as well if you’re just passing through Naivasha.
